Getting an education - Costa Rica

I am in Costa Rica getting my Spanish back up to par before heading down to Argentina and Chile next month. I am in class Monday through Friday from 8-2:30. It is pretty intense but I am already seeing a difference in my comprehension and speaking abilities.

There are 4 of us in class. Lynne is an older woman also from Washington (Easton) who is here to learn Spanish so she can better communicate with the tenants of the apartments she owns in Ellensburg.

Rachel is originally from Alaska but has lived between Oakland and NYC since she left 10 or so years ago. After she finishes this program she is going to a yoga retreat in rural Costs Rica for 2 months.

Chris is from Colorado and works at Intel. He is married to a Costa Rican and is in class for the next 6 weeks to learn Spanish so he can better communicate with his in-laws. He has his 5 year old daughter correct his homework.

We just wrapped up our first week of classes. Rachel, Lynne and I are headed to the coast to Manuel Antonio National park for some R&R. Will report back with pictures next week!
